possirak launched in 2026 as an internet newspaper. Out of the flood of news that breaks every day, we pick only what actually touches our readers' lives, and we explain why it matters.

The name 'possirak' comes from a Korean word for a small fragment. It carries the idea of gathering scattered pieces into a single picture.

How we work

possirak does not compete to break news first. Instead we take what is already known and establish what it means for our readers' daily lives. Our basic form of article checks reporting and primary material from government and companies against each other, and then adds context that is not in the original sources.

Concretely, every article follows these rules.

• We state as fact only what has been confirmed across multiple sources. Anything confirmed by a single source is either attributed as such or left out.
• We do not mix speculation with fact. Unverified forecasts are filtered out of our articles.
• Sections we compile ourselves — such as "At a glance" and "Why it matters here" — make up a substantial part of every article. Copying someone else's reporting is not, in our view, journalism.

Editorial policy

Every article carries the name and contact address of its author, and is checked by the editor before publication.

We cite the source of any material we quote, and every photograph and chart carries a credit. When we find an error of fact we correct it without delay and record the correction in the article. Our correction procedure is set out in Corrections, and our reporting standards in the Editorial Code.

What we do not publish

• Investment solicitation or securities recommendations — our economic coverage is informational
• Coverage that endorses or opposes a particular party or candidate
• Unverified rumour, celebrity gossip, or clickbait headlines
• Advertorial that reproduces a press release as it stands

How we are funded

possirak charges readers nothing. Anyone can read every article without registering, and we fund our operations through advertising placed in part of the page. Advertising is kept separate from editorial, and advertisers have no involvement in the content of articles. Cookies used for advertising are covered in section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
